Intern, Application Support / Developer （for 2019 graduate）

Role (Purpose of the job)

The positions are available for fresh graduate:

1)IT Service Support: to provide daily IT support and maintenance to Volvo users worldwide for application systems and continuously improve system functionality and performance.

2)IT Application Developer: to design / develop / test application systems.

 
Key Responsibility

1.     IT Service Support

• Provide excellent daily support (including trouble shooting and user request) to Volvo users worldwide to protect on-going business.

• Proactively identify improvement areas including application system, business process and IT support process.

• Monitor and improve system performance.

• Continuously improve system functionality via developing change requests from users.

• Responsible for system version upgrade activity.

• Deliver IT service upon KPI and OLA.

• Analyse business requirements and provide sound system solutions.

• Regularly communicate with business users and customers about service level and business requirements and seek feedback.

• Develop and enhance ITIL based service management processes

2.     IT Application Developer

• Design system framework.

• Establish coding rules.

• System coding and testing.

• Develop system documentation, user training materials and work instruction.

• Identify the improvement opportunity and optimize the performance of system.

• Analyse business requirements and provide sound system solutions.

• Knowledge transfer to application management team

Main competence requirement
 

• Bachelor and/or Master degree with majors in, but not limited to, computer, automation, electrical engineering, information technology, etc..

• Strong communications skills

• Good learning agility, strong interesting in IT career development.

• Strong initiative-taking and follow-through skills, strong ownership and sense of responsibility.

• A good team player.

• Good thinking and problem solving skill.

• Excellent oral and written English skills,

• Excellent oral and written Japanese is a big plus.

• Good service mindset.

• Good understanding and experiences in MS SQL server, web based development such as .Net, ASP.Net, JavaScript, HTML, C#, and development tools such as Visio Studio is a big plus.

• Ability to work effectively in a flexible, changing and challenging environment, manage multiple activities and priorities and work well under pressure.
